The Rangers parted ways with two of their veterans on Saturday, as they defenseman Ryan Lindgren and winger Jimmy Vesey to Colorado in a deal with the Avalanche.

Lindgren, 26, was one of the first players acquired when the Rangers started their rebuild in February 2018 — he came over as an unsigned prospect from Boston in the trade that sent Rick Nash to the Bruins — had been a warrior for the Rangers in his seven seasons in the organization.

The Rangers are trading Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey to the Avalanche for Juuso Parssinen, Calvin de Haan and a conditional 2nd & 4th round draft pick. Rangers retaining 50% of Lindgren’s salary.
