Top-five senior Jordan Smith, the best guard in the 2026 class, has committed to Arkansas, he announced on Friday.

Several former PVI players chose Duke, including Jeremy Roach, Trevor Keels, Darren Harris and Patrick Ngongba II, but with the addition of five-star Blair Academy (NJ) guard Deron Rippey Jr. plus the possible returns for Caleb Foster and Cayden Boozer, Duke is loaded in the backcourt.

FAYETTEVILLE — Consensus 5-star shooting guard and McDonald’s All American Jordan Smith has committed to Arkansas coach John Calipari and his staff. Smith, 6-2 and 195 pounds, of Chantilly (Va.) Paul VI, made an official visit to Fayetteville during the Sept. 19-21 weekend.

The DMV native becomes John Calipari’s third commit for next season, joining five-star wings JJ Andrews (No. 16 overall) and Abdou Toure (No. 22). With Smith’s commitment, Calipari is on pace to sign his third straight top-five recruiting class in Fayetteville.
