Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an assailant who barged into his Bandra house through his youngest son, Jehangir Ali Khan's room during the wee hours of Thursday (January 16). Mumbai Police officials arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Fakir for attacking Saif with a knife and they are currently investigating the case.

Mumbai police officials were seen at Saif Ali Khan's residence today to record the actor's statement after he was stabbed by an intruder on January 16.

Following a recreation of the crime scene, police took Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, accused in the Saif Ali Khan attack, from Bandra Railway Station.

According to Mumbai Police, the security guards on duty at Saif Ali Khan's home were asleep during the early hours of January 16, allowing the intruder to gain access without being detected.

The arrested accused in the stabbing attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was taken to different locations by the Mumbai police as part of the investigation to recreate the crime scene, reported news agency ANI.
