The Minnesota Timberwolves remain "very much engaged and active" in talks with the Phoenix Suns regarding a potential trade for Kevin Durant, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Durant reportedly has a wishlist (the Spurs, Rockets and Heat reportedly are on it), and with his expiring contract, he has a bit of leverage to get the deal he wants. But he is 37, not 27, and the threat of him passing on a lucrative two-year extension doesn't hold quite the same weight it once would.

A 15-time All-Star, Durant has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets and Suns. He won four scoring titles and the 2014 MVP Award with the Thunder and back-to-back rings and Finals MVPs with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018.
