Dec 28, 2022 · When we moved here in 2009 as seasonal residents in the winter, we embraced the Villages lifestyle and understood that seniors do things differently sometimes. Not hanging out until midnight on New Year's Eve was one of those things and we were on board with that. I never did like being on the roads after midnight on New Year's night.

Feb 16, 2015 · I did call the power company. I gotta say, they were extremely polite and answered the phone on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, all they could tell me was it was a "read meter", meaning that a meter reader had actually read my meter. They could not tell me if there was previous usage, or as someone has pointed out possible service charges/fees.
