This whole thing started in 2022 when Norwegian billionaire Kjell Inge Røkke used a loophole in the tax code to leave for a tax haven with NOK 14 billion in unpaid taxes. His business remains in Norway, where 80% of his employees still pay taxes, while Kjell Inge now offshores a large share of his profits to Lugano.
