Coastal taipans are highly venomous and often regarded as the most dangerous snake in Australia. Despite its lethal reputation, the coastal taipan would much rather slither away to safety than attack anyone, just like any other snake. Taipan! Last week this stunning juvenile Coastal Taipan was rescued from a swimming pool. Although Cooloola Cove is not technically the Sunshine Coast it’s still cool to see one of these elusive snakes so close to home.
