Pelton wheel The pelton never run around here because it needs a higher head area to get any good results. From the 1870s and not much has changed the styles may change but the principal is just the same. splitting a jet of water into 2 bulb like cups makes this on of the most efficient turbines , well for high head areas anyway. I used an ole electric motor for the bearings and shaft and drilled and tapped the end of the motor housing to hold the stator as dead centre as possible then I machine
