We're out with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and University of Tennessee, Knoxville conducting the annual sturgeon survey on Watts Bar Lake. The sturgeon was reintroduced in 2000 to the Tennessee River system. Each year we catch sturgeon on various reservoirs to monitor the size and health of the fish. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency just completed a habitat project on Old Hickory Lake adding much needed structure to the lake floor. Over 400 habitat structures and 1,300 tons of rock were placed in strategic locations to benefit the fishery and create more angling opportunity.
