Gunalchéesh, Háw’aa to the kids from the Tlingit Culture, Language and Literacy dance group for performing at our Native American Heritage Month celebration. It was so wonderful to watch the children dressed in their regalia, singing in the Tlingit language. In this video, the kids are singing the Language Warrior's Chant. Tlingit & Haida’s Elders program is nurturing culture one stitch, bead and weave at a time. Every week at the Generations Southeast campus in Juneau, Elders gather for craft circles where they can bring their own projects and receiving guidance along the way.
