DNR scientists use elctro fishing equipment to help them collect, measure, weigh, and count the diversity of fish living in a stream. Streams with better overall water quality tend to have a wider diversity of fish and more of them. Police investigating human remains found in Patapsco Valley State Park

Patapsco Valley State Park was buzzing with excitement this weekend as the Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League hosted a major event in the Pickall area. More than 1,500 people came out to cheer on over 500 student-athletes from across the state as they raced through the park’s trails. Events like this are possible thanks to the volunteer efforts that keep Patapsco’s trail system in top shape.
