Guess who's out and about in Expedition Africa? Our one-month-old klipspringer calf! She has been making regular visits to her large shared habitat near our giraffe platform with mom Deborah and dad Ajabu. Eagle-eyed guests may be able to catch a glimpse of this little one - she can be hard to spot as she is tiny and likes to curl up under a rock or in a bush! | Brevard Zoo

The klipspringer is a small, mountain-dwelling antelope found in the rocky landscapes of eastern and southern Africa. Famous for its remarkable agility, it can leap effortlessly and balance on the narrowest ledges, thanks to its unique, rubbery hooves. These sure-footed antelopes usually live in loyal pairs, often seen watching over each other from high vantage points. Their young, known as fawns, are born in hidden rock crevices, where they remain safely tucked away during their first few weeks
