Recently, several scams have been reported in D-17 Islamabad where passengers take a online ride, reach their destination, and then tell the driver that their cash is inside the flat — promising to return shortly. But they never come back, leaving the driver waiting and unpaid. Around 7–8 such complaints have been received so far, and there might be many more across the city.
